Area of Land Close to Sea Level along the Coast of Georgia

The table below provides point estimates of the combined area of dry land and nontidal wetlands below particular elevations, in square kilometers. The estimates are based on the USGS national elevation data set. The accuracy of these estimates varies. In most of the state, the elevation is likely to be accurate to within about 50 cm.
